Northeast Health facilities

Northeast Health operates three hospitals in the Capital District of New York: Samaritan Hospital in Troy, Memorial Hospital in Albany and Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital in Schenectady

It also operates several nursing homes and senior living facilities.

Nursing homes:

Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy; Eddy Village Green in Cohoes; Eddy Village Green at Beverwyck in Slingerlands; Eddy Heritage House and rehabilitation Center in Troy.

Assisted living facilities:

Beechwood in Troy; Beverwyck in Slingerlands; The Glen at Hiland in Queensbury; Hawthorne Ridge in East Greenbush.

It also operates two nursing schools, one at Samaritan Hospital in Troy and one at Memorial Hospital in Albany, the Eddy Visiting Nurse Association and a network of primary care providers in seven locations in the region.

In 2009, Northeast Health paid $1.25 million to nurses to settle a federal class-action lawsuit in which it was accused of conspiring with five other hospitals in the area to keep nurses’ pay low. Northeast Health denied any wrongdoing but agreed to provide deposition testimony and documents to be used in the action that continued against the other hospitals.

The settlement came just as St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany and St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy agreed to a merger with Northeast Health.
